For the Oatmeal Layers:
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup packed brown sugar
- ½ cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1¾ cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 2 cups old-fashioned oats
For the Fudge Filling:
- 1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
- 2 cups semisweet chocolate chips
- 1 tablespoon unsalted butter
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- ½ cup chopped walnuts or pecans (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Mix butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar. Add eggs, vanilla, and dry ingredients, folding in oats. Press ⅔ of the mixture into a greased 9×13-inch pan.
- Melt condensed milk, chocolate chips, and butter in a saucepan. Stir in vanilla and nuts. Spread fudge over the base.
- Crumble the remaining oatmeal mixture on top. Bake for 25-30 minutes at 350°F. Cool completely before slicing.

- Use old-fashioned oats for the best texture.
