- ½ cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
For the Pineapple Glaze:
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- ½ cup pineapple juice
- 2 tablespoons melted butter
Instructions
Step 1: Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 10-inch Bundt pan or a regular cake pan.
Step 2: Prepare the Cake Batter
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the yellow cake mix, vanilla pudding mix, sugar, and vanilla extract.
- Add the pineapple juice, vegetable oil, and eggs.
- Mix everything together using an electric mixer on medium speed for 2–3 minutes until the batter is smooth.
Step 3: Bake the Cake
- Pour the batter into the prepared Bundt pan.
- Bake for 40–45 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
Step 4: Prepare the Pineapple Glaze
- While the cake is baking, mix the powdered sugar, melted butter, and pineapple juice in a bowl. Stir until smooth.
Step 5: Glaze the Cake
- Once the cake is done baking, let it cool for 10 minutes in the pan.
- Poke small holes in the cake using a fork or toothpick.
- Slowly pour the pineapple glaze over the cake, allowing it to soak in.
- Let the cake sit for at least 30 minutes before removing it from the pan.
Notes
- Cake Mix Substitute: You can use homemade vanilla cake batter if you prefer not to use a boxed mix.
- Juicier Cake Tip: For extra pineapple flavor, replace ½ cup water in the cake mix with additional pineapple juice.
- Best Pan to Use: A Bundt pan works best for this cake, but a 9×13-inch pan can also be used.
