  • 8 hamburger buns πŸ”
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese (optional) πŸ§€

Instructions

Step 1: Brown the Beef

  • In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned, breaking it into crumbles as it cooks.

Step 2: Transfer to the Slow Cooker

  • Add the cooked ground beef to your slow cooker.

Step 3: Season the Beef

  • Sprinkle the ranch seasoning mix and au jus gravy mix evenly over the beef.
  • Stir thoroughly to ensure the spices coat the meat well.

  • Place the cubed butter and sliced pepperoncini peppers on top of the beef mixture.

Step 5: Cook

  • Cover the slow cooker and set it to cook on low for 4 hours or high for 2 hours.
  • Stir occasionally to mix the flavors and prevent sticking.

Step 6: Assemble the Sandwiches

  • Toast the hamburger buns lightly for extra texture, if desired.
  • Spoon the warm beef mixture generously onto the bottom half of each bun.
  • Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese on top for added flavor, if using.

Step 7: Serve

  • Cover with the top half of the bun and serve immediately while warm.

Notes

  • To enhance the tangy flavor, add a splash of the pepperoncini juice to the slow cooker.
