Description

A refreshing and elegant floral twist on classic lemonade, perfect for spring and summer days.


Ingredients

  • 1/2 teaspoon dried culinary lavender buds
  • 1 cup hot water
  • 1/2 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice (34 lemons)
  • 12 teaspoons honey or maple syrup (to taste)
  • 2 cups cold water
  • Ice cubes
  • Lemon slices (for garnish)
  • Fresh lavender sprigs (for garnish, optional)

Instructions

  1. Bring 1 cup of water to a boil.
  2. Place dried lavender buds in a heat-safe container.
  3. Pour hot water over the lavender and cover.
  4. Steep for 5–10 minutes, then strain and reserve the liquid.
  5. In a pitcher, combine lavender infusion, lemon juice, and sweetener.
  6. Stir until sweetener is dissolved.
  7. Add 2 cups of cold water and stir again.
  8. Taste and adjust sweetness or tartness if needed.
  9. Chill in refrigerator for at least 1 hour.
  10. Serve over ice and garnish with lemon slices and lavender sprigs if desired.

Notes

Use culinary-grade lavender only. Customize flavor by adjusting steeping time and sweetener to taste. For an extra touch, try using lavender simple syrup or add sparkling water for a bubbly version.
