Ingredients

Scale

For the Meatballs:

  • 1 pound ground turkey
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

For the Tzatziki Sauce:

  • 1 cup Greek yogurt
  • 1/2 cucumber, grated and drained
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh dill, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • Salt to taste

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • In a large bowl, combine ground turkey, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, parsley, garlic, oregano, salt, pepper, and beaten egg. Mix until well combined.
  • Form the mixture into meatballs, about 1 inch in diameter, and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  • Drizzle olive oil over the meatballs and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until they are cooked through and golden brown.
  • While the meatballs are baking, prepare the tzatziki sauce. In a medium bowl, combine Greek yogurt, grated cucumber, garlic, dill, lemon juice, and salt. Mix well and refrigerate until ready to serve.
  • Once the meatballs are done, serve them warm with a generous dollop of tzatziki sauce on the side.

Notes

  • For added flavor, try using fresh oregano instead of dried.
  • Serve with a side of warm pita bread or a fresh Greek salad.
  • To make this recipe gluten-free, substitute breadcrumbs with gluten-free breadcrumbs.
