These tender, juicy meatballs are loaded with gooey mozzarella cheese and smothered in a rich and creamy Alfredo sauce infused with garlic butter. Unlike traditional meatballs, this recipe elevates the flavors with a luxurious Alfredo sauce, giving it an irresistible creamy texture and deep umami taste. Perfect for pairing with pasta, crusty bread, or a simple salad, these stuffed meatballs will quickly become a household favorite.

Ingredients

Scale

For the Meatballs:

  • 1 pound ground beef 🥩
  • ½ cup breadcrumbs 🍞
  • 1 egg 🥚
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder 🧄
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder 🧅
  • ½ cup shredded mozzarella cheese 🧀

For the Garlic Butter Alfredo Sauce:

  • ½ cup Alfredo sauce 🥛
  • 2 tablespoons butter, melted 🧈

Instructions

Step 1: Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it to prevent sticking.

Step 2: Prepare the Meatball Mixture

In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, garlic powder, and onion powder. Mix well until all ingredients are fully incorporated. Avoid overmixing, as this can result in tough meatballs.

Step 3: Stuff the Meatballs with Cheese

Take a small portion of the meat mixture (about 1 ½ tablespoons), flatten it into a small disc, and place a pinch of shredded mozzarella cheese in the center. Carefully fold the edges around the cheese, rolling it into a compact meatball. Ensure that the cheese is fully enclosed to prevent any leakage while baking.

Step 4: Bake the Meatballs

Place the stuffed meatballs onto the prepared baking sheet, ensuring they are evenly spaced. Bake for 18-20 minutes, or until the meatballs are golden brown and fully cooked through.

Step 5: Prepare the Garlic Butter Alfredo Sauce

While the meatballs are baking, melt 2 tablespoons of butter in a pan over medium heat. Once melted, stir in ½ cup of Alfredo sauce, allowing it to heat gently. Stir occasionally until the sauce becomes warm and well blended with the butter.

Step 6: Serve and Enjoy!

Once the meatballs are finished baking, remove them from the oven and drizzle the creamy garlic butter Alfredo sauce over the top. Serve hot and enjoy your rich, cheesy, and decadent meal!

Notes

  • Cheese Leakage: Ensure that the cheese is completely enclosed in the meatball to prevent it from oozing out while baking.
  • Juicier Meatballs: Do not overcook the meatballs, as they may become dry. Keep an eye on them at the 18-minute mark.
  • Serving Temperature: Serve immediately to enjoy the best texture and flavor of the Alfredo sauce.
