Description

Cotton Candy Swirl Candy Apples are whimsical treats that combine tart apples with a sweet, colorful candy coating, reminiscent of summer fairs and childhood memories.


Ingredients

  • 6 medium apples (Granny Smith or Honeycrisp)
  • 6 wooden candy apple sticks
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup light corn syrup
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • Food coloring (pink and blue)
  • 1 cup cotton candy

Instructions

  1. Wash and dry the apples thoroughly.
  2. Insert the wooden sticks into the top of each apple.
  3. In a medium saucepan, combine sugar, corn syrup, and water. Cook over medium heat until sugar dissolves, then let it boil until it reaches 300°F (150°C).
  4. Dip each apple into the hot candy coating, allowing excess to drip off.
  5. Swirl blue candy coating over the pink for a marbled effect.
  6. Place coated apples on a parchment-lined baking sheet to cool.
  7. Press cotton candy onto the top of each apple once cooled.
