Ingredients
For the Brownies:
- 2 eggs
- 3 ripe bananas, mashed
- 1 ½ cups sugar
- 1 cup sour cream
- ½ cup butter, softened
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- ¾ teaspoon salt
- ½ cup walnuts, chopped (optional)
For the Frosting:
- ½ cup butter
- 3 cups powdered sugar
- 1 ½ teaspoons vanilla extract
- 3 tablespoons milk
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease or line a 9×13-inch baking pan with parchment paper for easy removal.
In a large mixing bowl, beat together the eggs, mashed bananas, sugar, sour cream, butter, and vanilla extract until smooth.
In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined. Fold in the chopped walnuts, if using.
Pour the batter into the prepared pan and spread evenly. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Let the brownies cool completely before adding the frosting.
In a small saucepan, melt the butter over low heat. Remove from heat and whisk in powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and milk until smooth and spreadable.
Spread the frosting over the cooled brownies. Let it set before slicing into squares. Enjoy!
